Submissions for Poems, Tales & Other English Words, Issue #3 are NOW OPEN!

Issue #1 (Children’s Edition) is available for order on our store.

Issue #2 (Speculative Fiction Edition) is available for order on our store.

Issue #3 (PRIDE Edition) is open for submissions. Due for publication 1 August, 2025.

What We Are Looking For:

• Queer stories by queer writers
• Short Stories (Fiction) up to 2000 words, max.
• Poetry
• Nonfiction (Reflections, Memoir, Articles)

10% of the paperback profits for Issue #3, the PRIDE edition, will go to Mermaids.

About Poems, Tales, & Other English Words

This is our quarterly literary magazine! The goal is to share amazing stories from brilliant writers.

There are no submission fees, and the digital version of the magazine will be made available for free for everyone upon release.

A paperback copy is available from our store at cost, and that money goes towards making the next edition! (For example, we currently outsource to a professional graphic designer for formatting, etc!)
